Just a quick question about Final Fantasy XII?
In the game, I got the fishing mini-game unlocked. I’m stuck at the upstream level. I know that to get other areas, I need to have the matamune rod, defeat Gilgamesh, and get the cactoid compact. But, I have no idea where to start. What is the order, and how do I get the rod, and the compact?
You’ll need to defeat Gilgamesh first. And while you’re battling him don’t forget to steal the Genji items. This is the only place in the game they are available!
After you defeat him, decipher the clues from the bottles (blue, green, red, yellow, and black)you’ve been collecting from the fishing game. This will tell you the location of the Matamune.
once you have the Matamune, the Hidden Shoals area will become available and this is where you will get the Cactoid Compact. You will need quite a lot of perfects–It can take a lo-o-o-ng time!
